Hello, NG, I'm not gone insane (yet), but I really do have to admit something.
Being the egotistical arsehole that I am, I decided to indulge myself in the whole series of Duairt, and not 3 episodes in from the start, I found it so cringe worthy.

My graphics and animation back then were ATROCIOUS. I said it. I mean, holy shit was I bad. And I'm talking in comparison to my newer work. Look at Duairt Episode 1, and then look at the Mini episode I recently uploaded and tell me truthfully I haven't improved.

Now back in 2009 when I originally submitted DE1-10, I thought they were very well made, especially for my standards at the time. Hell, in Episode One, Duairt was GREY for Christ sake.

A common error in them all was the speech bubbles, a lot of them lasted way too quickly. I feel I have mastered the length at which to keep the speech bubbles on screen, as nobody has complained about it since the early days.

One thing I've always wanted to have in Duairt was Voice Acting. A daunting task. I'll explain more in a second. Duairt and Stuart's "Squeak Squeak, Squeak Squeak" sounds were recorded by me. A lot of the other character sounds were ripped from video games, and the Internet, or Speakonia.

Episode 1 at the time was probably my best Flash Movie, it was the longest, best animated (Not saying much but still), and overall I remember it taking about 3 hours to make. It introduced the titular (LOL, tit) mouse, and had Duairt go on his first adventure. The thing I find strange though is that I nearly didn't make it at all. The flash file was originally intended for another Real Impossible Quiz ~Tribute, but when I thought for a minute I said fuck it, and decided that maybe I should make an episode of that Duairt Eittle character that Shakil (BanglaBoy96) Created. And thus, Episode one was born.

We then move onto Episode Two, which I remember making straight after finishing Episode One. It introduced Stuart, Duairt's arch enemy into the mix, so that we could have some form of conflict. It also introduced Bird, the bird who shits on the fireman in Episode 18. I didn't have much Internet access at the time, so I uploaded both Episode on the same day, around the same time.

I think I started making (and uploaded) Episode 3 the day after I had uploaded Episodes 1 and 2. IT was the worst of the bunch IMO. DE1 had the excuse of being the first episode, and I had nothing against DE2, but 3 is just the worst.
There are MANY times where speech bubbles need to be longer, and text needs to be made bigger. The story is about Stuart returning from Hell and making an army of stickmen kill Duairt. Duairt comes back to life and Stuart is sent to jail. That's it. Deirim can be seen in a cameo in Duairt's house window. Again, this is my least favourite episode.

And that was it... Until I was asked to make an episode 4 which I was reluctant to do. The plot involves DE and the gang going to Russia which is Communist again for.. some reason. It became a tradition of the series to have all instances of Russia have Stalin in them. We were introduced to Deirfidh, Duairt's son, and Baybo, a 21 year old retarded baby. Make sense? No? That's the idea.
While it doesn't hold up well to me, I still prefer it over Episode 3.

And that was it... Until one day I decided to take one of BanglaBoy's DE comics, and animated it, this time a parody of Star Wars. A very loose parody I might add. I hadn't seen any of these movies so I just used the shit I knew about Star Wars that's common knowledge like Darth Vader, Lightsabres, the Death Star ect. It ends with the epic (fail) 15 second lightsabre battle, Duairt going to a school, breaking me and BanglaBoy96 out of class, and us taking over the school. Some fucked up shit there. At the time, this was the best thing I'd done animation wise. I really liked it, and I still don't think it's my worst work.

And it was at this point I decided fuck it, and decided to milk the series some more with episodes and merchendise that never got made, with 3 rare exceptions I'll go into later.

Episode 6 explored Baybo's life, and hig fortune with the lottery. I really liked this episode, and still think it's a goood early episode, and this was when the oh so feared SWINE FLU was starting in Mexico, so it was topical. Overall good episode, but badly animated.

Episode 7, Dicky Donker the the Cheese Factory. Duairt wins a ticket to the aforementioned cheese factory, and kills the owner. End. Not a good flash, I know I could have done way better.

Episode 8, this is where some shit started hitting the fan. People were fed up of these low quality flashes being pumped out so fast, and this was one of the worst episodes. It involved Newcomer Danielly mistreating Citty, another newcomer. Citty then escapes. At the time it was an inside joke but now I look back on it and uggh.

Episode 9, A real shitstain. It was about the length of a mini episode and it's just crap.

THEN I TOOK A LONG BREAK, And by long I mean about 2 Months.

August, I had bad internet, and so I was bored. I decided to make Episode 10, and with limited resources. The end result at the time, I thought was great, but looking back on it, meh.

Episode 11 doesn't count, it's a shitty music video I used to fill the numbers.

Episode 12, the first of the Modern age Duairt Episodes. While "Season 2" started with Episode 10, this was the REAL starting point. My animation was slowly improving. At the time this came out I was quite impressed by it. It involved DE Making a robotic dog, Pop from Episode 7's Mini Episode returning and shit hitting the fan. almost literally. I enjoyed making this episode, and for UNFUN TRIVIA, This episode was going to be what episode 15's story is, but I changed it as I was lazy.

Episode 13: Duairt returns to Russia, buys a magic finger and makes wishes. Shit ensues. I don't hate this one, it's pretty OK for my time working in flash.

Episodes 14 and 14B: The G-Man takes over Eittely! What do!? Make a flash. Anyhoo, I prefer 14B, and consider it to be one of the best DE episodes.

Episode 15, the animation got better since I got a tablet, it involves Daniello turning into Earn A Tron after Me and Banglaboy diss his stuff. I quite like this episode too. I remember staying up late one night to finish it.

Episode 16, Contains a fucked up big lipped alligator moment. GORDON FREEMAN APPEARS FROM NOWHERE. But I kinda like this episode.

Episode 17: The halloween episode, I enjoy this one, I used some awesome music.

Episode 18: A bit too short for a DE episode I feel, however it's not the worst.

Episode 19: I like this one, but I rushed it a bit. The drawings could be better in places and it could have had a better fight scene.

And that's it. Sorry about the shortness of the later episode reviews, but I think the new ones are just better. That's nto saying they're amazing, but I enjoy them and they have a place in my heart.

If and when I make episode 20, I will be sure to use some of the great advice you guys have given me, but I've ignored over the years.
Will I make said episode 20? Probably. I'm willing to put in a fuckton of effort to see DE20 sponsored, but then again who knows, I could be eaten by a 2 cent mother of all coins tomorrow.
